John Kay BSc (Hons.) is an Internet Technology graduate from Liverpool Hope University and is currently employed as a Web
& SEO Developer.
Whilst completing his Degree, for which he earned a 2:1, he successfully provided Internet/ Web Development Consultancy to City Businesses (client-facing) through the North West Regional Development Agency.
John conducted research into web-based topics such as: HCI (Human Computer Interaction), Accessibility,
Usability and Search Engine Optimisation for his Dissertation
(supervisors: Dr Atulya Nagar and
Dr Hissam Tawfik).
Towards the latter end of his Undergraduate Studies, John worked with the Pro Vice-Chancellor Revd. Professor Kenneth Newport as a Web Editor for the University’s Research Website.
John has previously undertaken employment in Shipping & Logistics for the Hapag-Lloyd Group and in Retail & Distribution. In June 2005, he was sponsored by the Teacher Training Agency and AimHigher to be a Mentor for Higher Education to Gifted and Talented pupils at a Wirral Secondary School.
