John Kay BSc (Hons.) is a Researcher and Developer in Usability / HCI, Search Engine Optimisation and Website Production. He is currently employed as a Web & SEO Developer and is a Graduate of Liverpool Hope University.
Whilst completing his Degree, for which he earned a 2:1, he successfully provided Internet/ Web Development Consultancy to City Businesses (client-facing) through the North West Regional Development Agency.
John conducted research into web-based topics such as: HCI (Human Computer Interaction), Accessibility, Usability and Search Engine Optimisation for his Dissertation (supervisors: Dr Hissam Tawfik and Prof Atulya Nagar).
Towards the end of his Undergraduate Studies, John worked for the Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Kenneth Newport as a Web Editor for the University’s Research Website.
John has previously undertaken employment in Shipping & Logistics for the Hapag-Lloyd Group and in Retail & Distribution. In June 2005, he was sponsored by the Teacher Training Agency and AimHigher to be a Mentor for Higher Education to Gifted and Talented pupils at a Wirral Secondary School.
